Asalanka was voted the game’s MVP.
It appears that the officials concurred that the opening match was decided by the strike rate of the Sri Lankan captain.

Although Jaker Ali’s strike rate of 200 for his 68 was remarkable, it was not quite enough to match the opposition captain’s cameo.

Asalanka continued to have the highest strike rate.
It’s possible that Charith Asalanka’s superior strike rate throughout the game was the decisive factor in the Sri Lankan team’s triumph.

A knock from the captain!
